Audience • Age is to be aimed around 14+ • The income will be the average income so everybody can buy it • The gender should be mainly male but mixed • The occupation is not going to be focused on people in the music industry. Just for people who have an interest in the music genre.
Names of Magazine • NAME 1 –Zone In • NAME 2 – 3R • NAME 3 – Tune. • NAME 4 – Collision
Taglines • “Legends of the song” • “Music to the max” • “Turn the tune up” • “Making the times”
Editorial mission statement • To inform British readers about concerts, developments, new songs and new bands. • The magazine’s overall objective is to bridge the gap between the 3 genre’s of Rock, Rap and Remix/Dubstep and bring them together.
Unique Selling Point • A free poster with every copy • Vouchers on up coming music concerts • A music competition to be entered with every copy. The winner will get their song and music video published on the website, with pictures featured in next weeks magazine. As well as 65% off a years subscription to the upcoming magazines.
Reader Profile • My reader is a fourteen plus male. His education does not matter because the magazine can be read by all types of readers. After he purchases the online subscription, he will get the option to purchase a yearly pass subscription and a chance to enter a competition with every magazine. • He will buy this magazine because it doesn’t just focus on one type of music genre, it has a variety. He enjoys looking at concert information and photos. He enjoys reading journalistic and descriptive band/artist interviews. • Like everybody, he loves to get a “bargin” for his money. He will pay a yearly subscription of £60, this with 3 magazines a month, this coming to 36 magazines a year + free posters, iTunes vouchers, free amateur albums, booklets, T-shirts and competition entries. Perhaps this will encourage the reader to buy this magazine instead of others like NME and Kerrang.
