General changes • Central Business District (around marina bay) • Skyscrapers (the tall buildings) will be lit up with colourful neon lights • waterfront shows to be held daily during the night • Orchard Road • street seatings will change colours when someone sit on it. • brightly lit trees to portray Singapore as a “Garden City” • Singapore River • “Jellyfish” lights floating on Boat Quay • illuminated banks and walls of river • brightly-lit river taxis(so as to add on to the atmosphere)
Changi Airport – Terminal 3 (T3) • Opening date : 9 January 2008 • Largest of the 3 airports • 7 storeys (4 above grounds, 3 below grounds) • Capacity of 22 million passengers per year • Directly opposite of Terminal 2 • Near Crowne Plaza – 350 rooms
T3 amenities The Green Wall • 5-storey tall and 300-metre long vertical garden • 4 waterfalls and layers of tropical foliage • Sculptured sandstone art wall at arrival hall Shopping/Eating & Drinking • More than 100 shops, 30 restaurants and 20 service outlets • Luxury & Specialty duty-free items • Many outlets are found in public area • Full-sized supermarket in Basement Level 2, a food court and many other shops
Events Late Night Shopping every Saturday - launched on 1st September 2007 - extended operating hours from 9pm to midnight. - used to be a monthly basis on every last Friday of every month. - “TANGS has seen up to 20-25% increase in sales during the late hours” - Participating malls located around Orchard e.g TANGS, Wisma Atria, Paragon Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix - will launch on 28 September 2008 - 12 race teams - Pit Building will be completed by May’08(to house race control facilities, team garages, hospitality lounges for about 4,000 guests,a Media centre etc.
