Taking Outdoor Photos After a discussion about subject matter and light source we have fun taking pictures outside.
Taking “People” Photos… • Eyes, mouth and hands show emotion • Look out for busy backgrounds • Turn the flash off and on • Get in close.
Students speak… “I feel excited when I take pictures because I am taking a picture of a memory. I like taking pictures because I am able to express myself and how you are feeling. My favorite picture is the one I took in the back of the school. The landscape is beautiful, you can see the trees and a little bit of the sky in the background.”
Students speak… “The first time I ever properly learned how to take pictures was in digital photography. When I am taking pictures I always look forward to looking at them when I am done taking it. I like taking pictures because it feels like you are in control. My favorite picture is a picture of a mouse pad. The picture is taken way up close, all you see is multicolored dots on a white piece of fabric. I like it because when you look at it, it makes you feel like the whole world is colored dots.”
