Labor and employment Even though, legal environment permits PWDs employment: • Lack of accessible environment • Lack of employer’s enthusiasm to build accessible work place • Lack of skilled PWDs
Economic discrimination: The monthly government pension for PWDs is USD100 that is not enough for daily life which awakes: • dependency to family members • Maltreatment • Violence (human rights as stated in the UN Convention on the Rights of PWDs, sexual)
Discrimination in health service • Do not respect independency of PWDs • Do not care psychological rehabilitation • No child from women with disabilities
Lack of accessible environment to participate in the social life (crossing cut, public transport, buildings, toilet rooms) • Negative social attitude that hesitates to help PWDs • Social discrimination
There is no “personal assistance system” in Mongolia which helps to PWDs to work, to educate and to receive medical service. Therefore, PWDs are dependent, non-educated, has no income and cannot fulfill their rights as stated in the UN Convention on the Rights of PWDs
