WHAT BIG PROVIDES • The only user-led mental health organisation in Bury open to anyone who considers themselves to have a mental health problem • Open to those in Primary and Secondary care and those who are not in medical care • BIG serves as a preventative support, early intervention and provides support for those who have been discharged from medical care. • BIG promotes good mental health recovery • BIG signposts service users to relevant organisations. BIG in recovery • Held every Tuesday evening 6.15pm-8.15pm at Bury Reformed United Church, Parsons Lane, Bury • Consultant Psychiatrists attend every two weeks to give talks on mental health topics for service users • Runs as a support group in absence of Psychiatrists • Other health professionals give talks e.g. social worker, health trainers, counsellors, CAB, samaritans Seedfield Resource Centre, Parkinson street, Bury BL9 6NY www.buryinvolvementgroup.org e-mail: mentalhealth@buryinvolvementgroup.org Tel: 0161 222 4005 / 07758737616
