NASA is working on having people visit the moon, mars, and beyond by 2020. • Future moon visits will include robotic reconnaissance launches, between 2008 and 2012.
NASA is working on a new spacecraft. • Richard Branson, originator of Virgin Group is holding trips to space costing $200,000 per ticket taking about 45 people per flight.
The first space hotel is to open in 2012. • People will soon be able to live in space in houses at the space station.
New beacons have allowed us to pinpoint satellites and planets. • During the past 40 years, space shuttle’s appearance has changed. They are more “luxurious” than how they used to be.
VASMIR is working on a machine that will draw electrical power from the space station’s solar planets. • First man made spacecraft was Sputnik 1, built October 4, 1957.
