  17. Complimenting a Classmate Lisa, Thank you so much for letting me copy your notes from the course yesterday. After my Grandmother’s passing, I thought that I was going to fall behind in my studies, but you helped me get back on track. Thank you for being so nice to me. Sincerely, Rachel

  19. Mystery #1 This e-mail was sent to your principal after a disagreement over a child’s punishment. Dear Dr. Jones, I DO NOT THINK THAT IT WAS FAIR FOR YOU TO REMOVE MY SON, TIMOTHY, OUT OF CLASS WITHOUT SOME TYPE OF PUNISHMENT. YOU NEVER SEEM TO INFORM THE PARENT OF YOUR REFUTABLE DECISIONS, BUT PUNISH THEM SEVERLY! I SUPPOSE THAT YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN WHAT COMMON COURTESY MEANS! Sincerely, Ms. Gates Timothy’s Mother

  20. Mystery #2 Hey, Jillian! What’s going on with you? I am sitting here at a desk in the media center waiting for the last bell to ring today. I have some work that I should be doing. Hope the teacher doesn’t come by to check on me!!  I will talk to you afterschool, so we can go out shopping together later. Anne

  21. Mystery #3 • You read this while looking over one of your classmate’s shoulder… Hey Stacy, Tomorrow I need my paper for Ms. Ross’s english book report finished by tomorrow morning.
