1. Reflections Welcome! Reflect on last month�s Classroom Management and �15 Things Great Teachers do Differently,� training. What have you been able to implement? What impact has it had? What new questions do you have now?

2. What are the Fourteen things excellent teachers do differently? 1. Outstanding educators know that if a school has great teachers, it is a great school. 2. Great teachers focus on expectations. Others focus on rules and consequences 3. When it comes to student misbehavior, great teachers have one goal: keep the behavior from happening again (Prevention instead of Revenge, Proactive not reactive) 4. Great teachers have high expectations for their students but even higher expectations for themselves 5. Great teachers know that THEY are the main variable in the classroom- they place themselves in the �bull�s-eye� 6. Great teachers treat everyone with respect everyday. They create a positive atmosphere in their classrooms and schools 7. Great teachers know that they are the �filter,� in their classroom. They are aware that their behavior sets the tone 8. Effective teachers treat people with respect 10 days out of 10. They always �repair� even if they don�t need to 9. Great teachers have the incredible ability to ignore. This doesn�t mean they are oblivious-great teachers are aware of almost everything that happens in their classroom One hallmark of great teachers is that in their classroom, very little happens at random Great teachers aim high - they ask,� What will the best students think?� When making decisions, great teachers always ask., � who so most comfortable and who is least comfortable into this situation?� Great teachers keep standardized testing in perspective Great teachers care about their students
