LC – Low Cost connector Option • Answer: • Competitors -Yaskawa, Danaher, Rockwell, and Panasonic • Standard Molex (Tyco) connector option. • Currently: In order to get a Parker motor with a Molex type connector: • Submit a custom motor RFQ • Takes time for quotation • Takes time for design • You must OK the design • Place the order • Receive the order • = Wasting time! • Until Now!!!

  4. LC – Low Cost connector Option • Announcing the LC – Low Cost connector option. • Available on SM and BE motors. • Releasing September 29, 2008

  5. LC – Low Cost connector Option • The LC option: • Molex – Tyco connectors on end of 8” motor power and feedback leads. • Standard available via Extranet • Three different feedback options. • Motor brake option still available. • Mating cables available. • CE approved

LC – Low Cost connector Option • When using LC with an Aries drive: (or any drive to have ideal noise isolation and immunity)… • Must have 360 degree shielding • P-clip is included with motor and feedback cables. • P-clip is attached to motor mating cable and earth ground. • Insulation already removed from cable exposing braided shielding. • If a grounded surface is not readily available • Motor has hole pre-drilled and tapped in housing for easy installation. • This gives good noise immunity, not quite as good as the solid metal shell of a PS though!

  11. LC – Low Cost connector Option • Mating motor power cable – PL-1A3-xx • Always will have brake connector on it • Motor power, and brake connector. • Even though motor may not have a brake • One part number for brake / non-brake motors. • Customer may cut off brake connector if not needed.
