Training • Finance v7.5 training courses will end on Sept 30 ( one-on-one will be offered as needed) • Introduction to Finance and Delta Finance training courses will start in November 2004 • Confidentiality Form must be on file with HR or submitted prior to access being granted • Computer Access form must be on file or submitted prior to access being granted • Security Class attendance is required (credit is given for attendance during HR upgrade )
Security • Security courses will start about mid August 2004 • Individuals need to re-certify existing Computerized Information Access if on file • A new Computerized Info Access form must be filled out before attending training classes • Validation of Confidentiality Form will be conducted – one must be on file to authorize access to systems
Hardware/Software Requirements • Minimum requirements were sent to campus list serv on May 14, 2004, below are recommended configurations: • • 256 MB RAM recommended (64 MB RAM minimum) • • 800 MHz Pentium or equivalent processor (Pentium 166 MHz minimum) • • VGA controller and display of 800x600 resolution or higher and High Color (16 bit) mode for the best display results. • Internet Explorer 5, 5.5, or 6 are the recommended web browsers running on Windows NT, 2000, or XP. • If your local technician is unable to assist you in verifying your workstation configuration, the Help Desk will assist you (X7677)
Reporting Options • Brio Portal will no longer be required to retrieve reports • Reports can be generated and viewed within the web-enabled Finance system • Reports are being rewritten to accommodate the new file structures in Finance 8.4 • Use of nVision (drill down capabilities) being explored for future report formats
Project Plan Update • Second Upgrade Pass has been completed • System Testing starts today, May 19, through June 4, 2004 • Acceptance Testing will start on Sept 1 through Sept 17, 2004 • FitGap for new modules, Asset Management and Accounts Receivables/Billing will begin in October 2004 • Cut-over for General Ledger, Accounts Payables and Purchasing scheduled on Dec 20, 2004 • Access to the Financial systems will be suspended from Dec 6, 2004 through Dec 20, 2004
Student Administration Timeline • Chancellor’s Office has presented two options to the remaining CSU campuses who have not implemented PeopleSoft Student Administration (HRSA) • SA Group 1 (January 2006 – October 2007) • SA Group 2 (January 2007 – October 2008)
PeopleSoft SA Tasks • Readiness Assessment • Project Team members identified • Project Office expansion or relocation • Consultant bid, selection, and partnership formulation • Project Team training • Project Plan development
