Living as aPresentation to God The Challenge • We are called to make a sacrifice of our bodies (Romans 12:1-2; 1 Sam. 15:22; Psalm 51:17) • We are called to make a complete & perpetual sacrifice – a living sacrifice! (Romans 6:13; Galatians 2:20)
Living as aPresentation to God The Cause • We are motivated by the grace of God; we love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19) • We live for the One who died to save us! (2 Cor. 5:14-15)
Living as aPresentation to God The Consecration • We are “a holy priesthood” (1 Peter 2:5) • We have been made holy by the sacrifice of Christ! (Hebrews 10:4-10; 13:12-15) • We have a part to play in our holiness; we must be holy to be useful to God! (1 Peter 1:14-16; 2 Corinthians 7:1; 2 Timothy 2:21)
Living as aPresentation to God The Consequence: Forever Changed! • We are “born again” to walk in “newness of life” (John 3:3, Romans 6:3-4) • We are new creatures with new minds (2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 4:22-24) • Bad behaviors are replaced with good ones (Ephesians 4:25-32)
