Potential Testers • UK HE/FE institutions licensed to record and retain copies of programmes • BUFVC members (HE, FE and others) • TRILT Steering Committee • JISC • Education- or media-related organisations (NSA, BFI etc) • TRILT team, EDINA staff and BUFVC staff • Call for volunteers
Format • Qualitative and quantitative data • Two tests: • Alpha (six weeks) for functionality • Beta (eight weeks) for content • Questionnaire • Interviews • Quick response/light user tick box
Administration • No changes to the database during the test • Timing • Keeping in touch with testers
Assessment and Responses • Response rates • Will not be 100% so ensure that the initial sample is large enough • Responding to: • Negative comments • Positive comments • Requests for additional content or functionality
