  3. My favorite animal is the Pacific White-sided Dolphin • It is my favorite animal because it is beautiful. It has a white stripe on each side of its body. That’s how it got its name!

  4. I also like this dolphin because… • It leaps and swims fast! • Dolphins have to swim fast to get away from sharks and killer whales because dolphins get eaten by them.

  5. Dolphins live in the Northern Pacific Ocean • That’s where they live. • It’s also where they get their food. • Dolphins eat different fish and squid. • They find their food with echolocation.

  6. I love Pacific White-Sided Dolphins • They look like they are smiling. • They have 23 to 32 small teeth. • Pacific white-sided dolphins are fascinating mammals!
