  1. CA Elections Prayer Mapping 58 counties, 23.5million eligible voters

  2. California • US Senate Seats: Democrat Dianne Feinstein • Challenged by Orly Taitz, Allen Konopik, Elizabeth Emken "Rick Williams,[179] and Keith Holbrook.[1 • US House of Representatives • Democrats California's 6th congressional district: Lynn Woolsey[2]California's 18th congressional district: Dennis Cardoza[3]California's 51st congressional district: Bob Filner: To run for Mayor of San Diego.[4] • RepublicansCalifornia's 2nd congressional district: Wally Herger[21]California's 24th congressional district: Elton Gallegly[22]California's 41st congressional district: Jerry Lewis[

  3. California contd. • State House of Representatives • The 2012 California State State elections will take place on November 6, 2012. Voters in the 20 odd-numbered districts of the California State Senate will vote for their representatives. • Voters in all 80 of California's State Assembly districts will vote for their representative. • Mayoral election in San Diego

  4. Proposition • Water bond (Proposition 18) • This is a legislatively-referred state statute that would authorize an $11.1 billion bond to upgrade California's water system. On August 9, 2010, the California Legislature postponed the vote on the proposition until 2012.

  5. Referendum • Tentative- Gay Marriage • Among the referenda which are being proposed for a state-wide public vote is a proposition for the legalization of same-sex marriage, an amendment to the state constitution which guarantees the right to gender-neutral matrimonial rights, and the repeal of a constitutional amendment which was appended by the success of Proposition 8 in 2008. • Specifically, the proposition will put to vote a proposed law, the "California Marriage Equality Act", which will repeal Article I; Section 7.5 of the Californian Constitution as well as clarifying that no school curriculum will be changed and no clergy will be forced to perform any "service or duty incongruent with their faith". • Prior efforts to get such a proposition on the ballot failed twice (in June[1][2] and November[3][4]) in 2010, and major backers of the proposition (including API Equality-LA, HONOR PAC, and the Jordan/Rustin Coalition) have gone on record to support a referendum on the matter no earlier than 2012[5][6].

  6. Governors Tax Initiative • Governor Brown's 2012 Tax Initiative • Governor Jerry Brown has submitted "The Schools and Local Public Safety Protection Act of 2012" increase sales tax by 0.5%, and increase taxes on income for filers making over $250,000. The revenue gained from these would be redirected to local state government at the county level for use by the 2011 Realignment programs, local school districts, and California Community Colleges.[
