3. 2014 CEPAT D10 Goals When necessary, assist in development of substantial and compelling content for publication Ensure setting news is conveyed to district leadership and NWATA public relations Identify gaps and provide solutions for any membership category / terminology disconnects Provide relevant content for district 10 news articles Promote COES (Clinical Opportunities in Emerging Settings) Find and promote CEPAT to local District 10 region medical societies Webinars, post-professional training (district, national, private, etc.)

COR COPA Duties/Goals Create and disseminate information about revenue and business development Collaborate with other NATA groups and settings to promote, educate and enhance revenue generation Committee Structure (Past) Based on Subcommittees College/University Value Model Secondary School Value Model Web Group NPI Group Worth to Value Group Third Party Payer Pilot Terminology Group Value Models: College/University Value Model: Rolled out in January last year. This has been presented on at numerous conferences and is available at NATA.org Secondary School Value Model: Will be up on the website soon. Web Group: This group is responsible for getting new content up on the web and accessible to members. There has been a huge influx of revenue based documentation that has become available: These are listed mostly under “Revenue Resources” on NATA.org.
5. COR COPA NPI Group: Discovered that AT’s are not reporting that they are AT’s per their taxonomy codes. We have about half the NPI’s as we originally thought. We need a big push (internally and externally) for NPI registration. Some initiatives include: Employers demanding NPI registration IMpact requires AT’s to have an NPI Their goal is to create a tool box for AT’s to present to groups and explain what an NPI is and why it is important. Worth to Value Group: Just getting going Terminology Group: We have 7 new terms that went to the board for approval in January. These terms will be added to the terminology resources under the title of “commonly used terms” within the Revenue Resources link on NATA.org. Committee Restructure: Merge CEPAT and COR. Working goal: Business development

NWATA: Young Professionals Committee Committee Members Filled all committee positions (chairs and state representatives) Idaho Representative Position now open Former Rep is now secretary/treasure in Idaho Focused on 2 specific goals Increase awareness of committee Social media (facebook and twitter) @NWATA_YoungProfs Doubled social media activitiy through both outlets Increase involvement of YPs at the state and district levels Modeling after NATA YPC Initially planned to have YP sponsored event Financial planning and education, etc. Will start at annual meeting prior to doing this at district level This year: sponsored presentations

NWATA: Young Professionals Committee Upcoming Year Goals: NWATA 2015 Young Professional Sponsored Presentation YP column in NWATA newsletter Emphasize importance of service to profession as a YP We can’t expect chance if the future of our profession isn’t willing to change it YPs account for 1/3 of the NATAs demographics Largest single demographic Demographic with most ATs leaving the profession Need to improve retention

Class II “Activities aimed at keeping athletic training in the radar screen of legislators”. 2014 William T. Griffin Award Bill served on the NATA GA Committee until he passed in April 2014 NATA-GAC is creating an award in his honor to in turn honor someone Who has DEMONSTRATED LEADERSHIP OVER THEIR CAREERS IN WAYS SUCH AS: MOTIVATION LEADING BY EXAMPLE MENTORING RAISING VISIBILITY AND INFLUENCE OF THE PROFESSION Nominations for both are accepted through April 14th, 2014

College University AT CommitteeKim Terrell, District 10 rep CUATC Purpose: Support and represent College/University Athletic Trainers; demonstrating the value and importance of the Athletic Trainer in the overall health and welfare of student athletes Identify and address issues affecting athletic trainers in the college and university setting Duties: Study and discuss the unique concerns associated with the college/university practice setting; develop programs and activities to address concerns and enhance the effectiveness of college/university athletic trainers. (TBN- “To Be Named”) will float between UG and Grad depending on #’s. New Scholarship – St. Luke’s Sports Medicine (preference to student considering an emerging setting). Will also float depending on applicants.
