  1. A Brighter FutureAGreener Tomorrow Lee County Public Safety Building January 6, 2010

  2. Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) • Project is a part of Federal Stimulus Grant awarded to Lee County on December 7, 2009. • Project began on September 6, 2010. Using solar panels that are made in America and conform to the Buy American Act and the system wasinstalled with local labor, thus keeping the business in Lee County.

  3. About the System • The 54kW solar electric (photovoltaic) system is capable of producing over 85 megawatt-hours of electricity annually. • It is made up of 236 Solon solar photovoltaic panels and 236 Enphase micro-inverters (each micro-inverter allows for independent monitoring of their respective panel to maximize energy harvesting from the sun).

  4. Brackets Drilled Through the Roof to Anchor Panels Down Bracket prior to installation Bracket installed The specification we issued required the panels be installed to insure 130 MPH wind load

  5. Supporting Rails for Panels and Inverters.

  6. Micro-inverter Converts DC to AC and Monitors Real Time Status of Panel

  7. Panels are Set in Place Over Each Inverter for Easier Service

  8. Installation Progress

  9. Final Arial Photo

  10. Learning Opportunity • Daily up to the minute information is available on line thru the Sustainability website at: http://enlighten.enphaseenergy.com/public/systems/2drU10150 This information is available for use by the public and/or schools in order to enhance the knowledge of those who seek a brighter tomorrow.

  11. This is the monitor and plaque located in the lobby of the Public Safety Building . The monitor shows the real time status of the panels generating power.
