The Metric System By: Dominic Yrigoyen, and Carina Corral
King Henry Died By Drinking Chocolate Milk • Kilo = 1000 1/1000 • Hecto = 100 1/100 • Deca = 10 1/10 • Base = 0 • Deci = 0.1 • Centi = 0.01 • Milli = 0.001
How do we use the metric • If we didn’t have the metric system then we wouldn’t be able to measure stuff. • Scientists use the metric system to measure things that they do. Because if they didn't labs would go wrong. • Nothing would be right we wouldn’t know how much to use of things.
Why we need the metric system • We need the metric system for almost everything. • If there was no metric system then we wouldn’t be able to bake and cook. • We use measuring for everything.
Grams • 1 Milligram = .001g • 1 Centigram = 0.01g • 1 Decigram =.1g • Mass Grams • 1 Decagram = 10g • 1 Hectogram = 100g • 1 Kilogram = 1000g
Meter • 1 Millimeter = 0.001m • 1 Centimeter = 0.01 • 1 Decimeter = 0.1 • Length meter 1 • 1 Dekameter = 10m • 1 Hectometer = 100m • 1 Kilometer = 1000m
Liter • 1 Milliliter = 0.001L • 1 Centiliter = 0.01L • 1 Deciliter = 0.1L • Volume liter • 1 Dekaliter = 10 • 1 Hectoliter = 100 • 1 Kiloliter = 1000
