YMA FSF Timeline • 2014 AAFA Educational Fund approves an $800,000 grant as part of their on going partnership with the FSF • 2013 Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz accepted the “Geoffrey Beene Fashion Impact Award” (as part of the FSF Geoffrey Beene dinner and to launch the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Geoffrey Beene). Geoffrey Beene extends current partnership through 2015. Cumulative contributions in support of the FSF mission exceeds $4.5 million . • 2012 The strategic partnership with the Geoffrey Beene Foundation continues through 2014. Total support exceeds $4 million. FSF increased school membership to 46 schools nationwide. • 2011 A record breaking $2.0m was raised at the 2011 YMA FSF Geoffrey Beene National Scholarship Awards Dinner. • 2010 FSF surpassed $6.5million in scholarship support granted to over 700 scholars. FSF established long-term strategic partnership with AAFA Educational Fund . • 2009 Initial $100,000 strategic gift received from ROSS Stores to build awareness and opportunities on the west coast. A second $100,000 was given to the FSF in 2013. • 2007 Formed five-year strategic alliance with The Geoffrey Beene Foundation. Received $2 million bequest from The Geoffrey Beene Foundation.. Established GB National Scholarships in the amount of $30,000 to be awarded to 4 students each year. Dinner is renamed YMA FSF Geoffrey Beene National Scholarship Awards Dinner. • 2006 Received $1 million bequest from the Estate of Geoffrey Beene. Changed name to YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund (Fashion Fund) • 2005 Established $100,000 endowment at Brandeis University. • 1999 Established $50,000 endowment at Cornell University and provided Parsons School of Design with first endowment. • 1997 Established initial endowments of $50,000 at FIT and North Carolina State University. • 1971 Commenced individual scholarship grants of $500 in support of students pursuing fashion related careers. • 1947 Renamed Young Menswear Association (YMA). • 1937 Young Men’s Apparel Association of the Men’s Apparel Industry founded as a networking organization.

Scholarships What We Do… • The Geoffrey Beene Foundation has awarded the YMA FSF more than $8 million in scholarships since 1971 • the Geoffrey Beene Foundation grants a $1 million endowment with the FSF. • a five year strategic partnership is developed with the FSF, granting an additional $2 million. Geoffrey Beene National Scholarship award is established. Name of FSF annual awards dinner is changed to the YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund Geoffrey Beene National Scholarship Awards Dinner • 2012 and 2013 the current strategic partnership was extended though 2015 with cumulative support to the FSF in excess of $4.5 million. • Other Endowed Grants: • AAFA, Ross Stores Inc. and Macy’s Inc.
