The Name Recommendation was open for comment through August 2nd via the AAMI website A subset of the original group reviewed and discussed the feedback About equal split between positive and negative reception by the field 17 other individual names were suggested, further proof that we need to adopt a single name for the profession None of the feedback was a surprise, all of the comments had already been discussed in some form by the original group The general consensus is that the variety of perspectives in our group, and the process we went through, resulted in a solid recommendation for a name From the Individual Input Future Forum on Technology Management
Looking Down the Path Much work remains in front of us Explanations must morph into marketing and promotion efforts Look for a press release coming soon, including suggestions for actions to help move forward Acceptance and use of the name by a few will lead to wider acceptance and recognition within our field Marketing efforts are being developed Future presentations are scheduled Resources are committed toward the next steps AAMI, META, FMESA, ACCE, State/Regional Organizations Professional Publications, Vendors Future Forum on Technology Management
