Broadband or bandwidth: • The speed of most peoples internet is much too slow to handle their demand for downloading music, photos, and videos. • Land based lines have a limited capacity of data they can deliver . • Airborne internet will function much like internet from a satellite but without the time delays.

  4. How it’s transmitted: • There are three companies who have decided to offer airborne internet: • AeroVironment • Sky Station International • HALO (High Altitude Long Operation) • These companies use solar powered, un-manned • blimps to transmit their internet signal.

  5. What’s so different? • The airborne Internet will function much like satellite-based Internet access, but without the time delay. • It is much faster than standard internet and allows quicker downloads. • This form of internet is not completely wireless, it has a few ground wires to distribute the signal.
