  2. What makes the internet work, is something called the Internet Protocol (IP).This is were we get the term IP Address from .

  3. INTERNET ADDRESSES Because the Internet is a global network of computers each computer connected to the Internet must have a unique address. Internet addresses are in the form nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn where nnn must be a number from 0 - 255.

  4. WHAT IS THE WORLD WIDE WEBThe World Wide Web consists of all the public Web sites connected to the Internet worldwide.The World Web is based on these technologies: 1: HTML - Hypertext Markup Language 2: HTTP - Hypertext Transfer Protocol 3: Web servers and Web browsers

  5. How Do Search Engines Find What They Are Looking For? Search engines look through the text on the web and try and find things that match what you are looking for. Google and Bing are examples of search engines people use.
