Phil Lovin, who has been actively working in the field of animal advocacy, senior citizen advocacy, and addiction recovery & ministry from the past many years, comes from a diverse professional background. Apart from having worked as the Chief Chaplin and Volunteer Coordinator with REAP NYC for the last three years, Lovin has tried his hand in the field of business, worked in executive management in a retail company for a few years, and served as a missionary in Kenya and The Philippines. Phil Lovin’s Varied Work Experience Has Shaped Him into a Well-Rounded Professional Phil Lovin, who has been actively working in the field of animal advocacy, senior citizen advocacy, and addiction recovery & ministry from the past many years, comes from a diverse professional background. Apart from having worked as the Chief Chaplin and Volunteer Coordinator with REAP NYC for the last three years, Lovin has tried his hand in the field of business, worked in executive management in a retail company for a few years, and served as a missionary in Kenya and The Philippines. Having wider perspectives and background, he is also more prepared when the going gets tough and complicated decisions need to be made. Talking about Phil Lovin’s academic background, he is a bachelor’s and master’s degree holder in Psychology, has a doctorate degree in theology and ministry (seminary), and has also received special education in counseling. Regardless of what his formal education suggests, he has always worked in what has interested him from time to time. A believer of lifelong learning, he keeps acquiring new skills and knowledge. However, he doesn’t limit himself to work-related knowledge. In free time, he enjoys reading and learning about sites related to the American Revolution. He has even visited many sites related to the Revolution, and Williamsburg VA is one of his favorite places as is Cowpens battlefield and others. He enjoys traveling, hiking, and

  3. exploring historical areas as well. Other than that, it is his interest in cooking that takes up most of his free time, though he is still developing his skills and feels that he has a long way to go.
