How to Apply to Primary Education SWAPWest has its own application procedure. Apply through SWAP (for Primary Ed) You can apply to study at: Glasgow Strathclyde UWS You will also apply via UCAS for four “Plan Bs”
Primary Ed Applications SWAP (paper) application for Primary Education Plus: EXAMPLE! This will be for your Primary Ed choice UCAS application backup choices
How to Apply to Primary Education Tutor will give you a SWAPWest Primary Education application form(probably in early October) Top Tips: Make sure your completed form is perfect as the panel will use these to decide who to invite for interview Write an excellent supporting statement and check all spelling, grammar, etc. Tutor will give you a specific deadline nearer the time
Primary Education Application Process • After your (paper) Primary Ed app has been reviewed by the unis, you will find out: • (a) if you are going to be invited to interview and, if so, • (b) which university wishes to interview you • You will then add that university as your 5th UCAS choice for Primary Education • Interviews may take place as early as Dec (or just after the New Year) • Prep for HE contains interview prep info – study it!
Summary: Guide to BEd Application Complete SWAPWest Primary Education application form. Submit by deadline; panel will select some to invite for interview. Complete UCAS application for your four ‘Plan B’ choices(leaving one space for BEd/alternative to be entered after you learn if you’re being invited to interview). Those selected for interview should go ahead and add the relevant university as their 5th UCAS choice and then attend their interview (Dec-Mar). Those not invited for interview may add another (non-Primary Ed) choice on UCAS. Download PHE UCAS, Personal Statement and Interview Skills from SWAPWest website
