Wenonians Incorporated Presidents Report 2009 A year in review
Aims of WINC • To unite past students of the School with the present so that throughout their lives each student is a member of the sorority of Wenonians • to raise funds to provide for at least one annual scholarship to assist a student or students of the School to complete their school education at the School • to provide opportunities for assistance, guidance and mentoring of students who have recently left the School
Aims continued • to co-ordinate its activities with those of the School and to co-operate with and support the policies of the School as determined by the Board of Governors of the School • to promote the interests of the School and Wenonians in every way possible • to hold reunions and other functions for former students of the School and to hold fundraising functions.
Raffle 2009 • A joint WPA / WINC effort • $30,000.00 • 1/3 ($10,00.00) for WINC • WINC responsible for • Mail out • On-going administration • Banking funds
Scholarships • Edith Hooke Bursary (a needs based scholarship) went to a senior border • WINC scholarship 2009 to be shared between 2 girls for 2010 and 2011 • Barbara Jackson Scholarship – in Capital Appeal Stage 1. (Donations welcome!)

Goals for 2010 To Continue to support the Wenona community by: • Hosting events such as the 2009 leavers afternoon tea in February 2010 • Careers Evening – June 2010 • Foundation Day 2010 • Special Fundraising Event – more on this later! • Raffle
