  2. Grid Computing —A collection of computers, often geographically dispersed, that are coordinated to solve a common problem — Smart grids solve the Energy Issue by delivering electricity using two-way digital technology.

Virtualization — allows multiple virtual computers to exist on a single computing device — one of the primary uses is for performing backupand recovery — Virtual Data Center - a facility used to house management information systems and associated components, such as telecommunications and storage systems
