WELCOME TO THE JOINT MEETING OF
Our Aims and Objectives • To provide a clear and coherent pathway for clubs, players and officials in the area covered by the two Leagues. • To enable and foster aspiration for clubs, players and officials of all abilities. • To grow participation by providing an improved and relevant offer of Cricket. • To reduce travelling distances for those wishing to play more localised Cricket.
How can we achieve this? • By combining our League structures. • By revisiting our playing rules to determine if they are relevant for all players and officials. • By seeking to improve ground standards and facilities for all players and officials. • By adopting common policies on Registration of Players, Results Reporting, Discipline, Website etc. • By using economies of scale to obtain better ball subsidies, sponsorship and commercial backing.

Next Steps • League Secretaries will contact clubs to gauge support for further discussions towards an integration of competitions. • Establish a working group to finalise arrangements if a majority of clubs wish to proceed. • Use our proposed new structure to enable an easier transition to the planned ‘Two Valleys’ pyramid. • Carefully monitor any new arrangements and encourage feedback from clubs and players.
