The 5 Fold Vocabulary Step 1 - Fold paper in half (hamburger) Step 2 - Fold once more (hot dog) Step 3 - Fold again leaving a one inch tab
The 5 Fold Vocabulary Step 4 - Fold again, not including the tab Step 5 - Fold tab over, like an envelop flat Step 6 - Open the paper, hold it lengthwise up & small tab on left. Subtitle tabs (word, quote illustrating device, definition, example, picture, etc...)
The Flapper Pair-Share Discuss with an elbow partner: Identify how you could use the 3-Sheet Fold in your classes. i.e.- Unit review, comparing author's within genre. Directions: ·Partner #'s = 1 & 2… 2's share first ·Role reverse Be prepared to share yours or your partner’s ideas

The Unit Book Step 6 – Close the diamond and create The Unit Book. Step 5– Open lengthwise and create the diamond.

Diamond Fold - Comparison (Author's, Genre, Themes) Step 1 - Fold single sheet of paper hamburger style Step 2 - Fold either end towards middle meet until they meet Step 3 - Fold opposite direction (hot dog becomes hamburger) Step 4 - Fold opposite direction one more time Step 5 - Open folds (until original tri-fold) Step 6 - Tear both sidesto first crease Step 7 - Fold dog ears forming a diamond in the center Step 8 - Label as desired
