  6. Marijuana • Marijuana is a drug that affects mood & impairs short-term memory • Illegal in some states • Controlled drug in other states

  7. Marijuana contains THC THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) THC – Ingredient that affects the nerve cells in the part of the brain where memories are formed. Marijuana users feel relaxed, reaction time is slower and visual perception is affected..

  8. Marijuana Has Medical Value. • Reducing the nausea induced by cancer chemotherapy Stimulating appetite in AIDS patients Reducing pressure in people with glaucoma.
