Code Change Submission Current Process cdp ACCESS Stakeholders use online collaboration tools Stakeholders use cdp ACCESS website to access online database of current codes and Code Change Submission Form Call for Code Change Issued Code Changes submitted (online form) Stakeholders use online collaboration tools Staff review submissions and communicate with proponents, as necessary Submission compiled for posting
Code Change Submission cdp ACCESS features: • Ability to have live on-line discussions with other stakeholders who may be interested in collaboration on a submittal or coordination of submittals • Only need to fill out one form with your proponent information for each entity you represent • Database of the code provisions at your fingertips to access on a section-by-section basis the code text you want to revise • Ability to access cross referenced code sections of the code to ensure coordination of your change with other related sections

Code Change Agenda Review • Receive automatic notifications about a section you are interested in • Reach out to the proponent to discuss coordination of related code change proposals to strengthen the proposal via possible modifications to be proposed at the Committee Action Hearing • Resolve issues prior to the Committee Action Hearing • Results in a more efficient hearing process

Committee Action Hearing • Fundamentals of hearing remain the same – balanced Committees and hearing process • Maintain high value for in-person participation • Real time updates to hearing order agenda changes • Real time updates to Committee actions • In person electronic submittal of proposed modifications
Report of Hearing • The published results of the Committee Action Hearing include the Committee Action and the reason for the action. • Published results include the results of any successful Assembly Actions. • Proceedings and results will be made part of the Online Governmental Consensus process as part of the source content

What happens after Public Comments are submitted? • Public Comments will be posted online in a Public Comment Agenda in advance of the Public Comment Hearing • Join us on September 5th for a discussion of the Public Comment Hearing and the Online Governmental Consensus Vote
Answering your questions • What if everyone chooses to participate remotely and no one goes to the live hearings? • When would the online participation count? • How many people participated in the surveys you did that show there is strong support for the steps you are taking with cdp ACCESS? • Will cdp ACCESS be available to all Members or only Governmental Members?
