Draft-taylor-mmusic-sdp-tdm-00.txt • Primary purpose: provide bearer capabilities for NAS operation (Megaco) • Happens also to allow general TDM characterization by SIP, Megaco, MGCP • Provides the following: • new nettype (TDM), addrtype (GRP, NUL) conventions • media format mappings • requires registration of new subtypes • new protocols on m= line: TDM, PKT/TDM, FRM/TDM • new attributes: spchonly, 56kmax, chnls:<list>, netprof:<profile>, e2eprof:<profile>, userbw:<bits>, ibneg, v110parms:<parms>, v120parms:<parms>, asynch:<parms>, modem:<modem> taylor@nortelnetworks.com

  2. Potential Issues • Naming conventions: acceptable? • Media type registration: is the draft the right place to put the templates? • Port is irrelevant for TDM.
