IBL ENGINEERING IBL AND SILICON R & D MEETING
MPC COVERS • Designed and machined by Maarten WEBER. • Made of three separate covers • Aluminium bridges on top of Plexiglas covers: • Assembled and installed. N2
IPT SEALING CAPS • 5 injection molds made by SLA process • First cap sample made of polyurethane tested: • As expected • Released the production of 30 parts
IPT TITANIUM SHIELDING • Epoxy loaded with silver is an issue for the activation • Test to implement a bonded shielding mesh: • Decrease the amount of silver.
IPT TITANIUM SHIELDING • Maarten removed the silver epoxy using turning process • Conductivity not as low as in the beginning configuration (2 Ω instead of 2500 Ω) • We will put the part at 200°C to disassemble it • Remove glue with turning process • Bond epoxy 9394 • Implement mesh + silver epoxy
DUMMY MPC • Needed to test installation procedure on the scale one mockup. • We use the prototype IST (K13C/RS3) • Aluminium frame assembled and precisely adjusted by Louis and Augusto
DUMMY MPC • Precisely cut using the tool of Gerard. • Minimized the amount of CF dust.
DUMMY MPC • Open the MPC. • Prepare surface on IST and aluminium plates • Mask the bonding area
DUMMY MPC • Apply HYSOL 9394. • Close the MPC
