During an echo test, ultrasound (high-frequency sound waves) from a hand-held wand placed on your chest provides pictures of the heart's valves and chambers and helps the sonographer evaluate the pumping action of the heart. 5. 3 CT Angiogram A computed tomography angiogram (CT angiogram) is a test that uses X-rays to provide detailed pictures of the heart and the blood vessels that go to the heart, lung, brain, kidneys, head, neck, legs, and arms. • A CT angiogram can show narrowed or blocked areas of a blood vessel. • During a CT angiogram, you lie on a table that passes through a doughnut-shaped opening in the scanner. • If your doctor finds a major blockage in one of your blood vessels during a CT angiogram, you won't be able to get an immediate angioplasty to clear the blockage. www.add15years.comwww.add15years.in
