Mission Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) • The Denver Scholarship Foundation inspires and empowers Denver Public Schools’ students to enroll in and graduate from postsecondary institutions of higher education, by providing the tools, knowledge, and financial resources essential for success. DPS Office of College and Career Readiness (DPS OCCR) • To ensure that all Denver Public Schools students graduate and successfully pursue post-secondary opportunities that prepares them to be productive world citizens. 3
Collective Impact • Since 2007, the number of DPS graduates who have enrolled in college has increased by 30 percent. • DSF has awarded $13.3 million in scholarships to 2,683 DPS graduates – 81 percent of those students have either completed their degree program or are still enrolled in college today. • Between 2006-11, the number of DPS students enrolled in Advanced Placement courses has increased from 1322 to 3259, an increase of 246 percent. • Between 2006-11, the number of DPS students enrolled in concurrent enrollment courses has increased from 658 to 2,529, an increase of 384 percent. • Increased focus on financial aid and FAFSA Completion -- from 2010 to 2011, FAFSA completion rose from 41 percent to 45 percent. 4
