FLM in action – How customers are using SAP Interactive Forms Henry Blythe & Jayne Lumbus Arch 24th June 2010
Agenda • Types of customer • Types of Project • What goes Wrong • Project Profile in the future • Questions
Types of Customer • Initially Government: now more commercial companies • At first new to Adobe in SAP, now quite often have tried alone and failed • Wariness rapidly replaced by ambition • Likely to want to feel independent even if using an SI • Initially HR-led now more diverse: OCS
Types of Project • HR very common starting point but not just forms: Camelot • Mobile in various forms on the agenda: SAP MI and Flash • Scale is rising as confidence improves and business pressure rises • SI SAP skills are very transferable to this technology • Small teams of experts do well
Sample HR-related engagements by Arch with FLM • Amey – Timesheets and Timeclock integration • Informa – Global Leavers, Movers and Joiners • Camelot – Expenses and HR Contract generation • Department of Communities and LG – Multiple Timesheets & Expenses • LB Southwark – Payment Variation and Sickness Reporting • Bucks CC – Leavers and Contract Change
What goes wrong? • Delay in getting subject matter experts’ time • Initial technical set up when an outsourcer is involved! • Team is not settled • Success can be an issue in itself: size for success
Project Profile of the Future • PDF and Flash in the same process • Scale • Global reach: Informa • Sharing of form fragments between users? • Forms being augmented with Correspondence and Contracts
