Prayer Dear Lord As we start this season of Lent we pray that you may give us the discipline to do what we have set out to. That through it we may become closer to You and know You more and be changed through it forever more. Amen Daily Reflections
Reflections Activities Each day pick from the options below during your Tutor Time. • Challenge: • Traditionally in the season of Lent we give something up in lightof Jesus fasting for 40 days and 40 nights. The idea’s behind fasting is to be disciplined in doing something that brings you closer to God and change you as an individual. • This Lent what are you going to give up or take that will positively change you • and/or bring you closer to God? What’s it all about? This week we have ‘Shrove Tuesday’ (Pancake day) but what has it got to do with Easter? Then there’s the lesser known Ash Wednesday where Christians traditionally ‘ash’ themselves in a special service. Which seems a bit strange so why do it? See what you can find out about these two days.
