  2. Commas – Conventional Uses Commas are used to separate items in dates and addresses. My family moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Monday, June 23, 2006. On Monday, June 23, 2006, our new address became 44 Oak St., Milwaukee, WI 53221.
