  3. Field Test Statewide Participation Summary • Over 3.1 million students have completed testing • California represents three-fourths of all Smarter Balanced testing • A huge achievement for schools and LEAs across the state

  4. Plans for Collecting Feedback From Your LEA • Mid-testing survey (already distributed) • Post-testing survey • Forward to technology coordinators, site coordinators, and Test Administrators • Optional topic areas for feedback • Template versions will be available for LEA use • Focus groups

  5. Availability of Updated Practice Tests • Updated Practice Tests were released on May 19 • Continued availability of Practice Tests after Field Test

  6. Tips for using ORS • Use “Plan and Manage Testing” for accurate picture of tests taken by grade. • Remember that some exempted students will appear in the ORS.

  7. Introduction of Digital Library • Available in June • Planning dedicated Webinar/Webcast • CDE will have a Webinar on May 29 from 3–4 p.m. • ETS will have Webcast in August

  8. Score Reporting Preview for 2014 Paper-pencil Tests

  9. Individual Student Reports • CST / CMA Science Grades 5, 8, and 10 • CAPA Grades 2–11 • STS RLA Grades 2–11

  10. Aggregate Reports • Will appear the same as 2013 (STAR) • End of Course aggregate reports not available • Data file will come on CD per administration

  11. July Science Stakeholder Meetings • First step in the process of developing new science assessments aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) • Recruiting teachers and parents • Taking place from July 15–18, 2014
