Global Event • Contestants form all over compete • Spectators also travel from all over • As many as 15,000 spectators have been present • Since 2010 • Events are unsponsoredand unofficial • Held at Coopers Hill • Brockworth village in Gloucester, England • Coopers Hill • 200 yard incline • Vertical Slopes in some sections Actual Event

  4. 4 Downhill races • 3 mens • 1 womens • 3 Uphill races • 1-Boys under 12 • 1-Girls under 12 • 1-Open to anyone Races

  5. 7-9 pound cheese • Double Gloucesto • Rolled down the hill in a protective wooden casing • Can reach speeds up to 70 mph • Current Supplier Dianna Smart and her son Rod Smart • Same since 1980 • Dianna assumes full liability of any injuries caused by the cheese since she is the createred • But she has never been sued Just Actual Cheese
