Outstanding Reproducibility and Accuracy • This application demonstrates the excellent sensitivity of the Agilent 7000A Triple Quad GC/MS . • The insecticide Cyanophos is identified and quantitated accurately at levels of 0.5 ppb in a garlic extract. • Reproducibility is also shown at various trace levels.

Matrix Effect in Garlic Cyanophos All the calculated results are much higher than the spike, even though we have good linearity. The reason is “matrix effect”
Cyanophos 2.5 ppb in solvent without (Blue and Green) and with (Red and Black) protectant Area:7802 Area:2872 The use of an analyte protectant results in much better S/N and helps to overcome the effects of the “matrix effect
