Define and display your goals • Increase awareness statewide. By January 1, 2014, we want all TxDOT employees to see the WorkLife Balance program as a normal part of their work life. • To contribute to Mission Zero and becoming Best in Class by offering programs that have a direct impact on health and performance.

EXERCISE • Partnered with local running store • Newly certified instructors (Zumba,Yoga) • YMCA • In house athletes and trainers • Walk Across Texas-Texas AgriLifeExtension • Bike Texas • Water sports-price negotiation
NUTRITION • In-house • HEALTHY EATING EVERY DAY • Wellness Coaching • Cafeteria Manager • Outside partnerships • Local nutritionist (6 week series) • People’s pharmacy (lunch and learns) • Cooking classes-Vegetarian Epicure • Farm to work program -Sustainable Food Center
Preventative Health Programs • Statewide vaccinations-Walgreens • Freedom From Smoking-American Lung Association, 7 weeks • Diabetes education-Seton Diabetes Center • “Get a Physical campaign”-partner with in-house Safety Dept., 8 hours off incentive • Lunch and Learns-EAP, UT, Eldercare, local specialists
Stress Management • Chair Massage • In-house stress class during lunch hour • Meditation-local instructor • Yoga-newly certified instructor
