Existing flexible and user-oriented DAQ • Adapt EUDAQ to new beam telescope • MimosaProducer for NI readout • Tagging mode for triggers • Improved online monitoring • Look into integration with other DAQs EUDAQ
Early mini-TLU (<€1000) by May,then full TLU later Compatible with EUDET TLU & CALICE BIF(with CALICE-specific firmware) Use new connector (FMC), Xilinx SP601 host HDMI for DUT connectionswith dongle for LVDS/RJ45 or TTL/LEMO Gigabit Ethernet (IPBus) for sending timestamps etc. AIDA-TLU

Hardware based on ALICE TPC • Standalone DAQ with ALICE drivers/libraries(same as for EUDET/LTPC) • No common DAQ interface or TLU/DBOX trigger • Modifications needed: • New “Front End Card” • New backplanes • MCM instead of FEC • Timescale: H/W and S/W by September 2013 • Implement common server to interfacebetween local DAQ and common control S-ALTRO + LCTPC
Set up regular meetings: • Remote every 2 months • Physical every 6 months • 1st deliverable for M20 (Oct 2012):Definition of technical characteristics for common DAQ infrastructure • Compatibility of EUDAQ and CALICE DAQ • Develop hardware part of DAQ • System interfaces to existing LC detector systems • Extend readout to high fluxes Tasks for 2011
