Flags The blue for liberty, perseverance and determination The 50 stars represents the 50 states The white on the flag signifies purity and innocence. The red, for hardiness and courage. The 13 stripes represents the 13 colonies The American Flag
The Arizona State Flag The 13 rays of red and gold on the top half represent the setting sun and the 13 original colonies. Since Arizona was the largest producer of copper in the nation, a copper star was placed in the flag's center. The bottom half of the flag has the same Liberty blue as the United States flag
The great seal Of the United States (front) Thirteen stars breaking through a cloud. Represents the thirteen colonies breaking away from Britain. The eagle faces towards the olive branch…a symbol of peace and liberty. On a scroll in the Eagle's beak, says “E Pluribus Unum”, the motto suggested by the first committee:. It means : “out of many, come one” The American Bald Eagle, itself a symbol of America, was first drawn on the seal in 1782. In the left talon, the Eagle holds the power of war symbolized by the bundle of 13 arrows.
