  4. Challenges • Produce vocational education and training (CVET) that • Is applicable in all IHS environments • Establishes competencies for staff • Promotes good practice

Back to basics • Whatever the environment there are basic principles that should inform support provided • Individuals should have their • Human rights respected • Have equal access to services • Be treated as an individual and with dignity • Be considered as ‘experts’ in their own lives • Live in a safe and secure environment

  6. Learning outcomes • Learning Outcome 1 • Understand the key principles of housing with support • Learning Outcome 2 • Apply best practice in co-producing services with ‘experts by experience’

  7. Learning Outcomes • Learning Outcome 3 • Describe the rights of service users • Learning Outcome 4 • Establish the importance of equality and diversity in good quality housing support

  9. Two day training module • Based on learning outcomes • Adaptable to local environments and uses local resources • Ability to be co-delivered • Promotes local good practice

  10. Approaches to delivery • Face to face • Case studies • Group work • Presentations • Media and film clips • Materials • Questionnaire/quiz

  11. Co-produced and co-delivered • Training module input from Local Coalitions with user representatives • Service user facilitator and lead trainer to meet prior to decide how course should be delivered • Exercises to be co-facilitated • Each lead on different section
