Reliability Definition In order to reach an acceptable level of failures we set: The Reliability goal R= 96.5% @ 90% CL(L1S) at warranty of 3 years R= 88.80% @ 90% CL(L1S) at Life of 10 years This means a calculated MTBF > 730,000 hours NPI process demands proof of Six Sigma reliability levels How is this achieved?
How we improved SCR to CTQ Examples Inverter failure : TGN, less power devices, replace hall current sensor with CT, galvanic isolated gate drive circuit, Mosfets replaced by IGBT. No failure found : Robust on/off control, Start up without batteries

Benefit vs NetPro UPS provides higher power value at output; customer can connect a bigger load to the UPS
Commercial Benefit of Technical Feature Feature Benefit Common tower/rack Flexibility of application during UPS lifetime; as network designs change, the VH can adapt SKU reduction Easy stock-holding esp for batt cabinets; lower recharge costs; stock-holding to resellers Input voltage window Less battery use, prolonging battery life; cost saving; winner in tenders Neutral behaviour No need for transformer to control neutral output versus input
Commercial Benefit of Technical Feature Feature Benefit USB communication Modern communication route Output power factor More actual power for your money Frequency converter 50 or 60Hz operation; selectable bypass window; UPS doesn’t switch to battery on non- synchronised operation Standard IEC connection No need for individual plugs for different regions Hot swappable batteries Easy installation and ongoing maintenance; winner in tenders
Commercial Benefit of Technical Feature Feature Benefit Remote switching Remote monitoring and control; UPS can be monitored and operated in remote/unmanned applications Option card Single slot for multiple options Number of outlets More support from a single UPS; winner in tenders SBM Protection of core UPS component Size Space-saving (tower and 19inch); 2U suitable for IT racks
Commercial Benefit of Technical Feature Feature Benefit DC connector Two battery packs for all models except 700VA; flexibility Failsafe bypass Higher reliability even in case of UPS failure (individual power and control supply to bypass) External bypass Under development; lock-on box to UPS rear; existing Manual Service Bypass viable with VH Series
Key Commercial Features vs Competitors Bypass Static bypass for fast switching; unique failsafe bypass; separate power and control circuits Relays – slower switching than static switch; no separated power circuit to bypass Relays – slower switching than static switch; no separated power or control circuits to bypass Relays – slower switching than static switch; no separated power or control circuits to bypass Relays – slower switching than static switch; no separated power circuit to bypass Relays – slower switching than static switch; no separated power or control circuits to bypass
