State Executive Agencies • Carry out day to day work • Like a President’s cabinet • Examples: departments of health, education, revenue, transportation, and natural resources • Lieutenant governor is like vice president • Secretary of state in charge of documents and records, and supervises elections • Attorney general is chief legal officer • Treasurer or comptroller is chief financial officer
