  3. Where is Blizzard? • Will occur at where snow at • Where wind always easily occur • E.g. The Great Plains of Canada and The United State.

  4. Blizzard at Virginia and Washington DC • It was at some part of Virginia and Washington DC • On December 19th 2009 • The snow covers to about 6 inches on 7am on that day • Many cars, buildings, home and people were buried, roads blocked and the city were shut down

  5. How to avoid? • People can be warned early so that they can prepare for the blizzard • They have to get shelter • If stuck by a blizzard try to get dry • Dig into a snow cave because deep snow is an insulation against wind and cold temperature • Stay in vehicle

  6. Crack a bit of your window to provide air • Exercise in your vehicle to keep your blood warm • Make sure your vehicle can be seen to be recued e.g. use the light of the car or honk your car.
