  1. The Etruscans wore heavy leather shoes that were firmly around their ankles for better footing. • The Etruscans borrowed the Greek alphabet. Etruscans Caricature • They played sports such as running, boxing, and horse racing. • They were “people of the sea.” They stole customers from the Greeks and so they called the Etruscans pirates. • They used tunnels and dams to drain their water. • The Etruscans loved music and dancing. • The Etruscans used iron tools to grow crops and pull wagons.

  2. The Etruscans believed the universe was divided into 4 provinces and each province was ruled by a god. • They gambled with ivory dice or played a game similar to chess.
