  1. The Prayers of Jesus Luke chapter 11 verses 1 -11 1 Once Jesus was in a certain place praying. As he finished, one of his disciples came to him and said, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” Did anyone ever teach you to pray? Who was it and what did they teach you?

  2. Basic Questions about Jesus’ prayers Why, When, Where, What and How did Jesus pray? What were some obstacles to Jesus’ Prayer?

  3. What does the Lord’s Prayer teach us? 1 Once Jesus was in a certain place praying. As he finished, one of his disciples came to him and said, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” 2 Jesus said, “This is how you should pray: “Father, may your name be kept holy.       May your Kingdom come soon.3 Give us each day the food we need,4 and forgive us our sins,      as we forgive those who sin against us.    And don’t let us yield to temptation.”

Prayer is: • developing a relationship of trust & confidence • speaking, listening, constant connectedness • a companion to Bible reading • seeking to understand God’s heart & mind • aligning our will with God’s will • seeking Gods help to remain faithful • interceding for Gods kingdom to come/will be done • not so much an event as a lifestyle with events
