Grading in moodle. Saint James School of Medicine. Grader report shows students in the course but no grade info and Course Total is empty. Select “Simple view” under Categories and Items . In the pull down menu, select “weighted mean of grades”.

Grader report shows students in the course but no grade info and Course Total is empty.
In the pull down menu, select “weighted mean of grades” Weighted means that you can assign a percentage (weight) to each grading item.
We will “add a grade item” Block Exam 1 You will always click this button to add any items to be graded
Type a name here for the grade item, the other options can be skipped.
After selecting the Grader report, we can enter the grades Grades are added in the “Grader report”
Go back to simple view to enter calculation for “Course Total”
To enter the formula, click grade icon for the “Course total”
Exam1 to exam4 must be given a name (ID number) to be used in formula We will enter T1 to T4 and then click “add ID numbers”
T1, T2, T3, T4 can be used in the formula but not exam1, exam2
=SUM([[T1]]*.25, [[T2]]*.25, [[T3]]*.25, [[T4]]*.25) Click “save changes”
Suppose that you have added an assignment 10% of grade, that means Exams are 90%
Goto simple view to adjust formula The presentation item is worth 10% of the grade
=SUM([[T1]]*.25, [[T2]]*.25, [[T3]]*.25, [[T4]]*.25)*.9 + [[P1]]*.10 90% for 4 exams and 10% for Presentation P1
