ITAA and RFID • RFID Growth • Shipments of RFID technology reached $890 million in value in 2000 (Venture Development Corporation) • Increase to $2.65 billion in 2005
ITAA and RFID • RFID Growth • ½ of the more 350 business and IT executives surveyed by BearingPoint believe RFID is “a revolutionary technology that will have widespread impact.”

RFID Committee Task Groups • Federal • Focuses specifically on RFID considerations within the federal government. • Database Management Task Group • Works to determine the best process for RFID technology and services to handle the vast amount of information needed in order to perform flawlessly.
